Time for buying a home before school starts again is running but how do you afford it and keep the kids happy with what is left in the rest of the summer?
It’s a great time for buying a home. In fact, by the numbers it could easily be the best time in history to buy a home in America. So how can you afford it without sacrificing your kid’s summer and the opportunity to spend quality time with them and great new memories?
Time is precious and you can’t get it back but the benefits of homeownership are also so great for your children you can’t pass up on that either.
Recognize that having a great summer doesn’t have to mean going broke visiting Disney or a different theme park every weekend. Plus, buying a home can be a great adventure for them at any age and they’ll love helping to decorate their new rooms.
Get them involved in choosing the décor for their rooms, helping out painting, lending a hand with landscaping and perhaps even panting a garden.
No matter where you are buying a home there is also sure to be plenty of exploring to do and numerous low cost but fun things to try. In fact so many Americans have gotten used to just splurging cash to buy toys that you may be amazed at what you can do on a few dollars.
Think water balloon fights, sports, visit the community pool, find out what events the local library has planned and you may even find they become addicted to reading again and even forget about the Xbox for 5 minutes.
There are arts and crafts to do for their new rooms too. Or take the time to build something with them from tree houses to bookshelves. Why not go crazy and bake something for your new neighbors? No one might trust a pie from a stranger today but you can’t go wrong with cookies!
