What are the lavish amenities and features luxury home buyers are demanding now?
Whether you are a real estate investor, home seller, real estate agent or spec builder it pays to know what today’s top tier is looking for when buying a home.
Tennis courts, waterfalls and slides and wine cellars are really old news. The super wealthy want expansive homes which contain all of their favorite pastimes so they never have to leave and deal with the riff-raff, they want privacy, plenty of room to entertain and of course the ability to boast the most extravagant features in their trophy property.
If you are renovating or building with the aim of selling a home fast and for big bucks consider some of these additions a handful of high-end luxury homes offer:
- Yoga studios
- Bowling alleys
- Not 1, but 2 home theaters
- 2 or 3 pools, preferably with one indoors as well, or a theme park style lazy river
- A full sized pub complete with its own kitchen or even a poker lounge and nightclub
- A helipad is a clear must, but why not a private airplane runway too
- Professional, commercial shooting range
- Forget garages, how about 3 car barns, a gas station and a roadside diner
- At home saunas and beauty salons
- Private golf course
- Expansive tree house for the kids
Of course some of these items might be a stretch for many and they may not always provide the best ROI when rehabbing for flipping houses. However, there is also no substitute for breathtaking views and lots of land, land, land.
How creative can you get and what will you do to attract the new surge in elite executives and artists in the market for buying a home this year?
